The Music for
Journey to Love and Peace
The charismatic flow of Dr. Chen Wang’s performance is full of energy that shines over your heart and touches your soul. While receiving a full scholarship and working towards a double performance major in piano and percussion in the U.S., Wang discovered the interconnection between both areas and created a distinctive performance style. Dr. Wang also incorporate East Asian philosophy in the western classical music. From mysterious Oriental poetry in Tang Dynasty to gorgeous Italian Renaissance literature, she will bring the audience the most exquisite pieces inspired by different cultures such as Three Liebestraum, selections from French for Years of Pilgrimage, second year: Italy, and Chinese music A Moonlit Night on the Spring River, Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake, and Ode to the Yellow River.
Wang will take us on a magical Journey to explore the common theme of love and peace, and experience the connections among nations, people, and the bond between people and nature.
